Hard News

Janice Jones is a 53 year old woman who lives in Barstow California.  Around 10pm on Wednesday, while in her motor home, her dog knocked her 9mm handgun onto the ground.  The gun discharged when it hit the ground, firing a bullet through Jones' right leg.
Jones was taken to the Huntington Beach Hospital after she called an ambulance.  She was also eventually transported and treated at the Irvine Medical Center.  Jones' Pomeranian, Tombo, is safe with the Huntington Beach Animal control officers. Tombo was malnourished, according to Janet Ngo, one of the Animal control officers.  It also appeared to be abused. “It could have done with a little less abuse and a few more of those pork chops,” Ngo said.  The Huntington Beach Animal Control Office will be pressing charges against Jones.  Jones was also cited for expired plates on her vehicle.  The county's district attorney office is also considering pressing charges for the gun accident.
