Nut Graf

A nut graf is a paragraph in a story that contains the main point. They are the second paragraph of the story. It is supposed to explain the entire news value of the story.  Nut graf can also be spelled nut graph, nutgraph, or nutgraf.  Nut grafs are intended to justify the story by telling the reader why they should care.
